Ain’t no mountain high enough,
Ain’t no valley low enough,
Ain’t no river wide enough,
To keep me from…you
A popular song in the 60s amd 70s by Marvin Gaye. While a catchy song, someone else wrote something very similar first in His love letter to all believers. Romans 8:38-39 says: “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
The Apostle Paul helps pen one of the most foundational truths of the Christian belief. Because of what Christ did, absolutely nothing can separate us from God’s love.
I’ve been to the top of Glacier Point, to Yosemite Valley’s meadow below, hiked along Merced River, and it simply amazes me of Gods creation. And while even He stopped and basked in all that He created calling it “Good”, He saved the best for last as we are His most prized creation. What a wonderful reminder of the love God has for us, which is demonstrated and found In Jesus Christ. If He is willing to die for us, nothing can keeps us apart, not even death itself!
